Webinar: Workplace drug & alcohol testing

Draeger is hosting a webinar series covering drugs and alcohol testing in the workplace, partnering with leading experts in the field of alcohol and drug detection.

The second session covered the topic of Drug & Alcohol workplace testing and was hosted by Mark Burrup, European Regional Marketing Manager for Impairment and Mobile Gas Detection at Draeger. Mark joined Draeger in 1992 and since 1996 has been involved in the Impairment business field within the company. In the UK specifically has been responsible for the Home Office Type Approval of three breathalysers and in 2014 the first drug testing device to receive Type Approval for use in Roads Policing.

During the webinar, Mark discussed:

• Why Test? – Benefits of having a policy, and information on laws covering drug and alcohol testing in the workplace, including those pertinent to driving;
• Matrix and methods of testing – A look at the different types of testing and which is most suitable for each method;
• Alcohol and Drug testing Devices – How they work, and what to look for in a device.
