Weatherall Equipment and Instruments will be demonstrating the new Riken Keiki GX-3R and GX-3R Pro which are 4 and 5 Gas personal monitors at Safety and Health Expo, from 18-20 June 2019 at ExCeL London.

GX-3R, the 4 Gas Confined Space monitor, measures to 58(w) x 65(H)x 26(D)mm and weighs 100g. The GX-3R is ideal for confined space work as its size means it does not interfere with work even if it is attached in the breathing zone.

The GX-3R Pro uses 4 compact sensors including a brand new Electro-chemical Oxygen Sensor and Miniature Toxic sensor including a tiny IR Sensor for CO2. The GX-3R Pro 5 Gas Personal Monitor will detect, Combustibles, Hydrogen Sulphide, Oxygen and Carbon Monoxide as well as a Super Toxic such as CO2 or SO2. NH3, CL2 and HCN options will be added later.  A new 3-year sensor warranty is now standard. There is also the option of a new CO sensors which is compensated for Hydrogen interference which is ideal for Iron and Steel works and other applications where there is a Hydrogen Rich environment.

Visitors will be able to see and get more information on features such as:

  • The Man-down Alarm and Bluetooth Connectivity. The GX-3R Pro features a Man-down Alarm and Bluetooth Connectivity for the first time Controlled by an IOS or Android Mobile phone app RK Link. It also has a flip screen feature similar to mobiles and tablets to allow the monitor to be read upside down when being worn on a belt or clothing.
  • Long Battery Life before re-charge. Long battery mode allows the monitor to be used continuously for up to 40 hours before recharging. IP66/68 compliance as well as a 3-year sensor warranty allows the GX-3R to be used with confidence.
  • 3 Alarms settings and a wide detection range. The GX-3R has 3 preset alarm settings per gas and an over alarm which allows the alarms to be set at EH40 workplace exposure limits plus an additional alarm for a higher detection range or an additional caution alarm. An internal data logger allows 3600 event logs and 300 hours which can be read out using an IrDA link.
  • Wide Operating temperature range. An Operating temperature range of -40- +60 degrees C (intermittent) -20- +50 Degrees C (continuous) allow the GX-3R to be used in many different environments and applications. A loud 95dB alarms buzzer is also included.
