Retractors and cases for demanding environments

The T-REIGN retractors and cases are the latest addition to the Key Reel range from physical security products supplier Securikey.

The company say that the T-REIGN Retractors feature high strength polycarbonate bodies and are durable, even when used in the most demanding industrial and commercial environments.

Designed and manufactured by the same team that developed Securikey’s Super 48 key reel range, Securikey say the T-REIGN Retractors are specially designed for those working at height or within an environment where the loss of an item could cause injury or production downtime, and are ideal for securing work tools or belongings such as mobile phones or radios within easy reach. The firm add that the three different attachment options available, including Karabiner, Velcro or Belt Clip, mean that the Retractors can be secured to most types of clothing, work belts or bags, and a quick-disconnect universal end fitting makes it easy to switch out tools and belongings.

According to Securikey, the key component of the range is the Kevlar® cord, which they say offers four retraction forces depending on the weight of items being secured. They explain that on the Large and Extra Large models the tether can also be locked into position, ensuring it remains at the desired length. A Manufacturers Lifetime Service Policy comes as standard across all Retractor ranges, say the firm.

Extending the options, Securikey describe the T-REIGN ProCase as the first product of its kind to combine a protective thermoformed case with an inbuilt retractable tether, which safely secures items while offering weather, water and impact resistant protection. It can be used for items such as electronic measuring equipment, mobile phones or less robust tools, say the company, adding that the ProCase is available in four sizes, and features a patent pending access/closure system, enabling one-handed access.

Securikey say the ProHolster and ProSheath Cases offer alternatives for those looking to secure a specific type of object – the ProHolster is designed for 2-way radios and GPS devices, whereas the ProSheath is for a variety of pliers, wire cutters and other similar-shaped tools.
