Amazon’s global head of safety to step down
Heather MacDougall who joined the online retailer in 2019 will leave next month.
Heather MacDougall, Amazon’s VP of worldwide workplace health and safety is to step down from the role in October, according to an internal memo seen by CNBC.
MacDougal joined Amazon in 2019 from the US Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission, a federal agency overseeing disputes between employers and the Labor Department. She was appointed Commissioner of the agency in 2013.
Becky Gansert, who currently serves as vice president of global specialty fulfillment, will replace MacDougall.
