Chemical-spill suppliers join forces

Spill-control companies Forth Systems and Fosse Liquitrol have merged and will be based in a new state-of-the art warehouse in Leicestershire.

Forth Systems developed and distributes the Enpac spill-containment range across the UK and Ireland. Fosse Liquitrol specalises in oil and chemical-spill control and has a range of clients in the aerospace, engineering, petrochemical, waste management, transport, healt-care and food industries.

In 2011, Fosse Liquitrol’s warehouse in Whetstone, Leicestershire was badly damaged by a fire, which resulted in the rebuilding of a larger facility at the site. The new warehouse opened last year and this will now provide the base for both companies.

In a joint statement, Mike Claridge of Forth Systems and Miles Hillman of Fosse Liquitrol explained that the merger provides their UK distributors with a stronger, wider product range. They said: “The combination of two strong brands, Liquitrol and Enpac creates a potent force in the spill-control market, both in the UK and abroad.

“The strength of internationally-renowned brands, like Enpac, are important to the oil majors, which are keen to access the best-quality spill-control products on the market.”
