Zoë started advocating for user centred approaches to solve problems when she first worked in human factors (HF) 20 years ago. Since then she has worked across rail, oil & gas, healthcare, mining, manufacturing and aviation industries in the UK and Australia. She spent 10 years as the lead HF / HOP advisor for Chevron Australia integrating practical solutions to evolve the organisation’s safety management, culture and operational learning. Now she helps organisations to educate and coach leaders; involve workers in incident investigations; adapt language and design of safety practices; and implement learning teams. She is keen to share what she has learnt from her successes and (many) failures along the way.
