He is the Global Head of HSE for ISS, a company of c.350,000 employees providing integrated facilities management services to clients in more than 30 countries worldwide.

Philip Houtermans

Global Director Health & Safety, Arcadis Belgium

Philip is a highly skilled project manager and an accomplished team leader. In his role as a project manager, he demonstrates expertise in successfully initiating and delivering complex projects while adhering to established frameworks and meeting customer expectations. As a team leader, Philip effectively leads a global team of H&S managers, guiding and inspiring them to achieve optimal results.

Philip’s unwavering drive, customer-centric approach, and unwavering focus on project goals enable him to excel in his endeavors. He is motivated by the values of cooperation and teamwork, recognizing their significance in driving successful outcomes.

With an impressive tenure at Arcadis since 1999, Philip has amassed invaluable experience and expertise. Furthermore, he has pursued studies in health and safety coordination, earning a Master’s degree in health & safety. Additionally, Philip possesses a degree as an ‘Environmental Coordinator,’ denoting his proficiency in environmental management.

In his prior role as the head of an analytical laboratory specializing in environmental analysis, Philip showcased his leadership capabilities. Currently, he serves as the Global Health & Safety Director at Arcadis, where he oversees the Global Health & Safety team.

Philip’s extensive professional journey spans various domains, with over a decade of experience in the Health & Safety industry. Furthermore, he brings five years of expertise from the laboratory sector and an impressive 16 years of experience in soil testing and remediation. These diverse experiences have shaped him into a well-rounded professional with a comprehensive understanding of his field.
