Health & safety advice via the Safety Wizard app
A free-to-download app called Safety Wizard is a Toolbox guidance app, designed to help small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) meet their health and safety requirements. That is according to the app’s developers, RNF Digital Innovation, the mobile applications provider.
The company say the app, drawn directly from HSE Toolbox guidance, gives the user access to straightforward advice on the most common health and safety hazards and shows how SMEs can take practical steps to control the risks in their workplace.
The app includes advice on working environments and the most common causes of accidents with helpful dos and don’ts, says RNF, adding that there are sections on the most common hazards such as electricity, gas, manual handling and harmful substances as well as risk assessment tools.
Rob Mannion, RNF Digital Innovation managing director, said: “We are delighted that the Health and Safety Executive have supported us in developing the Safety Wizard app.
“It’s the first time that HSE’s Toolbox guidance has been available in this format and offers the user access to a rich seam of information designed to address their workplace health and safety needs. “
The company say the Safety Wizard, which is exclusive to the Apple iOS operating platforms, is available now as a free download from the Apple iTunes store.

Is it possible for this app to be available to IOS 7 rather than from 8 and above?
Hi Melissa, you would need to contact RNF Digital Innovation. There’s a contact form on their website, linked above.
This is a great app, I had ICE contacts on my phone but no one would be able to access if my phone is/has locked. Now I know it is on the lock screen, I feel so much safer.
