The term Display Screen Equipment (DSE) covers not just PCs but also laptops, tablets and smartphones.

DSESome users of DSE experience aches and pains in their hands, wrists, arms, neck and shoulders following long periods of DSE work. These aches and pains are often referred to as repetitive strain injury (RSI) or upper limb disorders (ULDs).

In 2017/18 6.9 million days were lost due to work related musculoskeletal disorders.
