SHE 11 – Construction Plant-Hire Association – hall 1, stand K80
For 70 years, the Construction Plant-Hire Association (CPA) has represented the interests of plant-hire companies. With 80 per cent of plant in the UK hired, its members are major players in construction, says the CPA.
Promoting the safe use of plant is a key activity for the CPA. Working in its own right, and increasingly with other stakeholders, it produces standards, guidance notes and best-practice guides to improve safety.
The CPA led the formation of the Strategic Forum Plant Safety Group, bringing together representatives from the HSE, contractors, ConstructionSkills, industry bodies, insurers, manufacturers, operators and plant owners and hirers to produce publications such as Safe Use of Telehandlers in Construction.
All CPA safety publications are free to download from www.cpa.uk.net
