Generator inspection – shentongroup
shentongroup has won a major contract from a nationwide communications group to inspect and survey hundreds of standby generators across the UK. Its engineers are carrying out a series of non-intrusive surveys of the generators, providing a detailed report on each generator and, carrying out remedial work, if necessary.
The engineers carry out a detailed visual inspection of the cooling- exhaust and fuel-storage systems, fuel pipework, fuel transfer system and control panel and the canopy, among other things. Some of the surveys have identified potential problems, which would have resulted in the standby power systems failing to start in the event of a mains power failure and thereby being unable to protect the critical load. All faults have now been repaired. For more details, visit www.shentongroup.co.uk
