New guide highlights the principles of explosion protection

Explosion protection firm COOPER Crouse-Hinds has published a free guide on how to prevent electrical equipment from exploding in hazardous environments.

The 88-page guide is called ‘Principles of Explosion-Protection 2012’ and provides an overview of the main principles of explosion protection. It also contains a comprehensive reference section on the global use of electrical equipment and the relevant country-specific standards and Directives, as well as guidelines on the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment installed in hazardous environments.

It’s described as being useful to workers who are responsible for health and safety who source electrical equipment, including lighting, in hazardous areas within onshore or offshore installations.
