Rules? Guidance – and somewhat out of date now too. The HSE have quietly dropped this pedantic approach, to focus more on effective solutions than on recorded (not written) assessments.
And where exactly is the ‘rule’ that assessments must be reviewed annually? Perpetuating bureaucracy.

it’s good working practise to review them annually, is it difficult to do that? you also need to review them if any changes to procedures or changes of plant / equipment etc. Good working practise is what a judge would refer to for compliance to legislation.
