Free information – First-aid at your fingertips
The British Red Cross says its free first-aid mobile app has been downloaded more than 250,000 times since it was launched six months ago.
The charity says the app features easy-to-understand advice on 18 everyday first-aid scenarios. It also explains how to prepare for various emergencies, such as severe weather and road traffic accidents. This is supported by videos and interactive quizzes, which are also featured in the app.€

Well done Red Cross – very pro-active!
I’ve got this app and it is very informative. Whilst it doesn’t claim to make you a first aider by ‘app proxy’, used as it should be, the instructions for emergencies are life-savers. It really helps as a ‘memory jogger’ for first aiders too!
I may come back with a follow-up comment at a later date because i’m going to suggest to my employer that we promote this for our employees and sub contractors to use.
Well done again.
