Throwback Thursday: Looking back at CDM
Last week, CDM 2015 draft guidelines were published, bringing in some significant changes. Here we look back at March 1996, which gives a thorough overview of CDM and everyone’s responsibilities.
The underlying philosophy of CDM was to “require all parties to a construction project to give time and thought to planning how to work safely.” The aim was to enhance safety within the construction industry, and for clients and designers to share responsibility for safety with the contractors.
