Your Chance to Put Your ISO 45001 Questions to the Experts

ISO 45001 gives organisations all over the world a framework to prevent work-related accidents and illnesses and proactively improve the health, safety and wellbeing of their people. Whether you are new to ISO 45001 or have a mature OHS management system, you may have questions about the standard or how to get the most from health and safety management system.

On 21 September at 3pm BST, leading assurance provider, LRQA is holding a special ‘Ask the experts’ webinar – giving you the opportunity to get answers from two OHS specialists. Bill Barnes, Auditor Manager at LRQA will be giving you the auditor’s view on any questions you may have around the certification process, maintaining your certification and more.

Bill will be joined by Martin Cottam, Chair of ISO/TC 283 – Occupational Health and Safety Management who will be giving his technical insight into OHS issues that matter most to you and sharing what is coming next for ISO 45001.

There are several areas in which the OHS landscape has changed significantly since the publication of ISO 45001 in 2018 – from the shift in focus from safety to health and safety; the implications of the increase in remote working; and a greater emphasis on mental health in the workplace, to the challenges of how to measure OHS performance accurately to support improvement activities.

It’s important for organisations to be proactive in addressing emerging challenges. A well-designed OH&S management system gives a structure to understand current performance and emerging risks, plan and implement any necessary changes to controls, and evaluate their impact. If you have questions on how to approach these challenges – now is your time to ask.

During the hour-long webinar, there will be no presentation – just an open forum that will give you the chance to ask questions, hear the discussion with two engaging and thoughtful speakers, and get practical guidance to help you improve the health, safety, and wellbeing of the people in your organisation.
