Feedback from the Field: Researching frontline experience
As organisations navigate the Great Resignation of 2021, all eyes are on an essential — but historically undervalued —workforce. Recent events have thrust frontline workers into the spotlight. Now it’s time to open up the floor to them too.
SafetyCulture and YouGov have partnered up to explore the experiences of American, British and Australian frontline workers, looking at whether they felt listened to, empowered to take action, and if they were getting the support they needed.
Here’s what was discovered:
- 31% more British frontline workers value the importance of good quality training compared to competitive holiday allowance when looking for a job
- More than 3/4 (78%) British frontline workers don’t feel they’re always listened to by management on topics that matter to them the most
- Only 22% of frontline workers in Britain feel empowered to take action and solve issues themselves
Feedback from the Field research report reveals crucial frontline feedback, designed to help working teams get better every day. Download the full report today.

Fieldwork was undertaken between 27 August – 9 September 2021. The survey was carried out online. The figures have been weighted and are representative of US, UK and AU frontline workers (aged 18+).
