Peoplesafe to offer insight into staff protection in June

Lone worker experts Peoplesafe will offer an insight into risks facing staff and how their employers can best protect them at the Safety & Health Expo in June.

Visitors to Peoplesafe’s stand at M2050 will be able to try out the latest equipment and see innovative ways of keeping staff safe. Among the products on display will be the latest in smartwatch technology, GPS systems that work even when there is no phone signal and rugged smartphones designed for tough environments.

Peoplesafe’s clients will also be telling just how important protecting lone workers is, with speakers from Grand Union Housing Group and Family Action.

Peoplesafe, which has its headquarters in South Yorkshire, is one of the UK’s leading providers of lone working services and training aimed at keeping employees as safe as possible. Its clients include a range of major retailers, house builders and facilities management companies.

There are an estimated 6.8 million lone workers in the country, ranging from social workers to lorry drivers, who could be at risk of accident or attack.

The Safety & Health Expo, which runs from 16 to 18 June at ExCeL in London, has high profile speakers including Baroness Karren Brady, Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Sir Chris Hoy.
