SHE seminar preview: workplace tribes for a perfect safety culture

The most effective organisations recognise that a strong safety culture is essential for reducing accidents in the workplace.  In other words, getting your human performance right by engaging with people in your organisation to achieve a collective, long-term vision.  To do that, it’s tempting to issue a target such as ‘Zero Accidents’ or ‘Zero Harm’ and make the assumption that because everyone’s working for each other in one happy organisation you’ll get there in due course.

Unfortunately, the reality of most organisations is less happy family and more a group of tribes who’ve agreed an uneasy truce for the sake of day-to-day progress.  To get your organisation to a point where people are working with each other to achieve a common safety goal you need to look at what bridges can be built between these different tribes.

Intrigued? Hill Solomon and JOMC will be expanding on this topic on day one of the Safety and Health Expo on 17 June at 12.45pm in the SHP Legal and Cultural Arena.

Mark Ormond and Clare Solomon will be share some of their successful approaches to building these bridges, using case studies of good communications through dynamic tools, software and engagement sessions to show you that by using some simple and impactful methods to overcome recognised differences, you will have a much greater chance of achieving a world-class safety culture.

Alternatively you can learn more about our culture change programmes, by signing up for a place on one of our monthly one-day masterclasses, which are free to attend. The next one is on Thursday 1st May in Birmingham. Find out more at www.jomc-hillsolomon.com
