Respiratory protection – A+A

Scott Safety unveiled a range of new products in respiratory protection and gas detection at the A+A trade fair in Dusseldorf this month.

The company previewed a new range of self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), which it claims will provide the ultimate comfort, reliability and perfomance for those working in the emergency firefighting, marine and industrial sectors.

According to Scott Safety, the new ProPak SCBA range is a lightweight set that incoproates the technology found in other Scott Safety SCBA products, which offers high levels of protection while also providing ease of movement and comfort.

The company has also recently developed its 379bar high-pressure cylinder. Scott Safety claims that at 25% higher pressures than the current 300bar SCB, the new cylinder offers increased duration, with minimal increases in size and weight.

Scott Safety says that a key advantage of this is that a cylinder the size of a typical 60-minute cylinder will now provide a duration of 75 minutes.
