Women in Health & Safety

Health and safety incident management and sentencing guidelines, networking event

Kennedys is the host of the latest Women in Health & Safety networking event, open to all.

Incident Management and H&S investigations

The Kennedys team will discuss how best to respond in the aftermath of a serious health and safety incident, with consideration being given to topics including: how best to manage the HSE and/or police when they visit site, the immediate response from a company, HSE and police powers, internal investigations by companies and best practice generally when it comes to reacting in times of crisis.

The ‘Definitive Guideline’ for the sentencing of H&S offences

The Guideline has been in force for over three years now, but what has the impact been on the sentencing landscape? The panel will consider the levels of fines now being imposed by Courts and look at whether the Guideline has been a successful deterrent to health & safety offending. We will also touch briefly on recent case law concerning the sentencing of group companies for health and safety offences and trends we have seen in cases we have handled.

This Women in Health & Safety Network event is open to men and women both members and non-members.
