Incident reporting

Airsweb leverages the power of WhatsApp’s intuitive user interface provide a fully automated incident reporting channel

Using artificial intelligence, Airsweb AVA’s virtual assistant can now act as an incident reporting tool on a variety of social media platforms. Airsweb has selected WhatsApp as the first-of-its-kind reporting tool.

With no need to install additional software, users simply need to know the basics of a smartphone to report an event. In just two simple steps (add a contact to a mobile device and start a WhatsApp conversation) anyone can report an incident, near miss or any important event.

“The real power of this innovation is in its huge reach and ease of use,” said Airsweb Product Development Director, Rob Leech.

“It has the potential to increase incident and near miss reporting exponentially. Within 20 seconds, anyone – users, employees, contractors, the general public even – can report an event as easily as they chat to friends and business colleagues. For EHS Managers, the implications are huge: more data means better information for important safety decisions.”

This isn’t the first time Rob and his innovation team have integrated the AVA virtual assistant with existing technology. The Airsweb kiosk, uses existing kiosk technology to create a central reporting point for users to report incidents and gain information about their site, such as risk assessments and induction videos.

With this latest release leveraging the power of WhatsApp, the Airsweb virtual assistant truly could prove to be the ultimate incident reporting tool.
