Blue slip-resistant Vynagrip matting from Plastic Extruders Ltd is being used in the production line of the new Mackies’ Crisps brand at Perthshire potato company, Taypack.
The manufacturer says Vynagrip has been laid alongside the production lines to provide safe, anti-slip surfaces for workers and pickers. The matting’s open grid dissipates cooking oil spillage from the thermal deep-fat fryers and from other waste. Supplied by Arco, Vynagrip matting has a deeply-etched surface, which is said to provide the UK’s highest rating for slip-resistant performance of R11 when tested to DIN 51130.
The matting can be easily rolled up, facilitating a regular deep clean in the production areas and power cleaning of the mat itself. Vynagrip is available in widths of 60, 91 and 122cm, and in 10m-long rolls or individual modules with various accessory options. Standard colours are red, blue and black, while Vynagrip Plus has ‘safety alert’ yellow edges.
