Respiratory protective equipment- Filterspec

JSP says its Filterspec unit, which combines a mask and disposable filter with safety spectacles, allows both protective devices to work independently, but in harmony.

Wearing safety spectacles with a mask can be uncomfortable and impractical, says the manufacturer, and leakage can occur, resulting in misted lenses and reduced respiratory protection. Filterspec is said to allow both protective devices to work at their full effectiveness, but as an integrated single unit. The wrap-around one-piece lens features anti-mist and anti-scratch coatings as standard, while the mask holder and filter, which incorporates an exhalation valve for comfort and longer filter life, weighs less than 60g, says JSP. The initial unit is sold with three replacement masks with replacement filters sold separately in boxes of 10.

The company adds that the unit is light and comfortable, and is designed for environments such as automotive, veterinary, and dentistry. The spectacles are said to conform to EN166.1F, and the mask conforms to EN1827:1999 FMP2.
