New measurement technology is launched to help monitor harmful noise levels in the workplace. Watch this video to discover a quick and simple way to reduce risk from exposure to noise.
Pulsar Instruments Plc has launched Pulsar Nova, six professional Class 1 and 2 sound level meters. The short video introduces the latest technology to help employers comply with Noise at Work regulations (2005) and to ensure that any exposure to noise is kept within legal levels.
This comes at a time when a progressive and significant increase in the number of NIHL claims since 2001 has been recorded – 60,000 claims notifications within the UK alone in 2013 – (Source: Institute of Actuaries).
The meters, which are manufactured entirely in the UK, are compliant with IEC 61672-1:2002 and are designed to survive the toughest conditions.
A die-cast metal case gives this sound meter superior strength and durability compared to its plastic rivals. It holds a high resolution colour OLED display, making it ideal for use in the widest range of lighting environments. The removable preamplifier attaches reliably using a LEMO® connector.
Noise measurements are made in three simple steps: ‘On’, ‘Calibrate’ and ‘Start’. The meter then takes all the necessary measurements simultaneously before displaying the results on a large, easy-to-read colour display.
Once the measurements have been taken, they can be transferred to a PC using Pulsar AnalyzerPlus software. This will enable Safety Professionals to perform further analysis, displaying the results in various graphical formats.
Pulsar Instruments Plc is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Company (Certificate FS517347), so you can be confident that the noise monitoring solutions provided will always live up to, if not exceed, your expectations.
