February 22, 2013Claims by blacklisted construction workers that some of the information held about them on an illegal database came from undercover Police officers are to be addressed as part of Operation Herne.
The ongoing investigation into the activities of the Special Demonstration Squad, a deep undercover section of Special Branch, will look into the claims following a complaint submitted by the Blacklist Support Group.
The Group says the Metropolitan Police originally refused to investigate its complaint but was “forced into a U-turn” after a successful appeal to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) by Christian Khan solicitors. €

Are we to be suprised by this possible Police involvement?
We may have freedom of speach, but the state has the right to then note what you say and collate information on anyone deemed to be remotely subversive and potentially threatening to the status quo?
Who is supposed to investigate this without therefore being influenced by an overiding agenda imposed by others?
The erosion of civil liberties continues, beacuse it suits government agenda?
