Designer Awareness Day: Preventing occupational disease through design

designers awareness day

The London North West Working Well Together (WWT) group is holding a Designer Awareness Day next Thursday 21 July, helping people with design responsibilities understand how to address, mitigate or eliminate risks during the design phase and in doing so, meet the standards expected of them.

WWT is an industry led partnership that aims to improve health and safety standards within the construction industry. The goal is to help achieve a meaningful and sustained reduction in injury and ill health within the construction industry.

Designers have a crucial role to play in improving the health and safety performance of the construction industry.

The event is supported by professional institutions in the construction industry and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). The event will give valuable information on how your design can help prevent occupational disease to construction workers.

The seminar will look at:

  • The magnitude of the challenge
  • The causes of disease
  • The designer’s responsibilities
  • What the designers can do.

Certificates will be issued at the end of the seminar.

The event is being held at District Room, 7th Floor, 55 Broadway, London SW1H 0BD. For further information, call 0783 141 4464 or 0781 085 7211
