Construction worker dies at Heathrow Terminal 2
A construction worker was killed yesterday (2 October) after being hit by a lorry on a building site at Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 2.
The man in his 30s suffered serious injuries following a collision with the lorry on an area of the terminal where construction work is still taking place, said a spokesperson for Heathrow Airport.
HSE has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy, which involved a construction worker with Laing O’Rourke.
A new Heathrow Terminal 2 – known as the Queen’s Terminal – opened in June.
