May 3, 2013Health, safety and environmental risk-management consultancy Santia Consulting Ltd has bought First Order Red, a provider of asbestos management services.
Mansfield-based First Order Red provides a range of services, including asbestos management plans, air monitoring and surveys, testing and asbestos removal management. It says it has a number of well-established client relationships, particularly in the education sector.
Backed by independent equity firm Better Capital, the deal marks the first acquisition for Santia, which expects the integration of the two businesses to expand and strengthen the company’s existing asbestos management capability.
Jane Hext, chief executive of Santia, said: “This acquisition is an important part of our growth strategy and brings very welcome existing business as well as a healthy new business pipeline in the North, which will give Santia a great opportunity to deploy its asbestos team to support the First Order Red workload.”
