Liam McMaster’s winning design

POP Marketing, a team within Savills management division, has completed a national escalator safety campaign involving five shopping centres and five primary schools across England and Scotland.

The competition saw more than 556 children submit creative posters promoting important escalator safety messages in a fun and engaging way.  Each shopping centre chose a winning design, with the child behind it receiving £100 in vouchers to spend there.   Additionally, one national winner was also chosen – Liam McMaster of Blacklands Primary School in Irvine, Scotland.   Liam’s poster will be displayed in all five participating shopping centres and he will receive a £1,000 donation from Savills to his school.

Antony Hunt, health and safety manager at Savills, comments: “Escalator safety in shopping centres and other public places is an important issue which we strive to raise awareness of from a young age.  We are pleased so many children got behind this campaign and Liam’s eye-catching design will continue to promote the key messages to shoppers across England and Scotland.”
