2016 IOSH Council election nominations open

Later this year, a ballot will be conducted to elect new members of the IOSH Council. The Council is IOSH’s representative body, providing advice and guidance on strategic, professional and policy issues. It represents the views of members to the Board of Trustees and has the key responsibility for choosing who will represent the Institution as President.

Twelve members will be elected by vote to join after the Institution’s Annual General Meeting in November, at the IOSH Networks Conference. Successful candidates will serve for three years.

Of the members elected to Council, at least nine will be corporate members at the level of chartered fellow, retired fellow, chartered member, or retired member. Up to three can be non-corporate members from the positions graduate member, technical member, affiliate member, associate member or honorary fellow.

To be nominated, each candidate needs to be proposed by two other members, or a network. In the election, corporate members can vote for non-corporate members and vice versa.

To request a nomination form, email Laura Miles, committee support officer, at laura.miles@iosh.co.uk (tel: 0116 2573190). Forms need to be completed and returned to The Grange by noon on Friday 27 May 2016.
