Protection for lone workers

‘MySOS Mandown’ is a personal safety device, developed by Skyguard, a provider of personal safety services for lone workers.

The firm say the MySOS Mandown devices – described as a small, easy to use personal safety alarm – features GPS, GPRS and Mandown technologies. Skyguard say the product is certified to the highest industry standards (BS 8484, Secured by Design), is the smallest and lightest device available in Europe and features two-way audio.

Skyguard explain that when the user raises the alarm, an alert is instantly sent to Skyguard’s dedicated Incident Management Centre (IMC), along with the GPS location of the device. A professionally trained Controller at the IMC will first listen in and assess the situation, before talking to the user and taking the appropriate action, they say, adding that the devices’ Mandown function automatically raises an alarm in the event of a fall or sudden impact.
