Hazardous-substance storage – Pegasus cabinet

The Pegasus safety storage cabinet from asecos is suitable for storing a wide range of substances, is quality-assured, and offers ergonomic features.

According to the company, the technology used in the cabinet means both doors can be easily opened using one hand. They also close automatically after 60 seconds, without the need for an electrical power supply, requiring 60-per-cent less manual effort and further enhancing safety.

The doors do not open simultaneously – first the right-hand door opens, then the left – so less force is required.

The Pegasus cabinet allows hazardous substances to be stored in workrooms in compliance with BS EN 14470-1 Type 90 – i.e. fire-resistant up to 90 minutes. Optional interior fittings include shelves, or removable drawers. The cabinet can store up to 235 litres.

The Pegasus can be used in potentially explosive atmospheres and can be used with integrated locking systems. An air outlet and earth connection are also provided.
