Ejector seat manufacturer pleads not guilty after death of Red Arrow
An ejector seat manufacturer will face trial next year for health and safety breaches after the death of a Red Arrows pilot.
Flight Lieutenant Sean Cunningham from Binley near Coventry died at RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire in 2011. The pilot died after his ejector seat initiated during the pre-flight checks of his aircraft, while stationary at the base.
Martin Baker Aircraft Company entered a not guilty plea to a charge under the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974.
The trial is due to take place at Lincoln Crown Court starting on 22 January 2018.
