Heating engineer found not guilty of manslaughter following carbon monoxide death
A heating engineer has been found guilty of three safety offences but not guilty of manslaughter after a woman died from gas poisoning in her home in December 2012.
Annette Coe, 71, died in hospital after collapsing at her home in St Edmunds Road, Ipswich from carbon monoxide poisoning.
Peter Sykes, 68, of Castle Road, Hadleigh, had denied all four charges at Norwich Crown Court and was found not guilty of manslaughter by gross negligence.
He is due to be sentenced for the three health and safety charges on 28 July.
