Lighting – Industrial Lighting Systems

Industrial Lighting Systems (ILS) has launched a new telescopic lighting pole that is ideal for use at oil refineries, gas plants, power stations and rail tracksides.

The new V-Spring metre lighting poles are, says ILS, telescopically adjustable between 1.5m and 3m and incorporate an internal vertical spring to assist in taking the load when the column is raised or lowered.

Designed to improve safety and reduce cost in maintaining lighting at height, the lighting columns come in three different models — hot dipped galvanised, aluminium and stainless steel as well as weather-protected coating for any environment.

With a single bolt fastening, a lighting maintenance worker can single-handedly lower the lighting pole for lamp changes or maintenance, says the company.

According to ILS, the poles are designed to withstand a wind rating of 320mph and can be mounted on any walkaway, handrail or wall.

With light fittings generally mounted in dangerous and difficult-to-reach locations, lighting maintenance at height is becoming a more complex and costly task, which is why ILS says the V-Spring lighting pole offers an ideal solution.
