Businesses called to provide evidence on how they are improving LGBT+ inclusivity in the workplace

The government has issued a consultation, calling for global and UK-based organisations to provide examples of how they are improving LGBT+ inclusivity in their workplace and wider environment.

The governments LGBT+ Business Champion, Iain Anderson, is calling on employers, staff networks, trade unions and civil society organisations to provide evidence on how they are:

The LGBT+ Business Champion is looking for:

  • Practical examples of what businesses are doing to improve LGBT+ outcomes and experiences in their workplace and wider environment (it’s stressed that this call for evidence is not to gain responses from people about their personal experiences or their views on LGBT+ equality in the workplace)
  • Examples of what works

Views are sought from:

  • Employers
  • Staff networks
  • Trade unions
  • Civil society organisations.

Keen to know how exactly you can be more inclusive after you’ve already hired someone. If someone can give me an actual, tangible way to be more inclusive than allowing someone to come to work, work without harassment, and receive pay for it, i’m all ears. This is coming from a Bisexual female.
