Following a number of recent high profile prosecutions, NEBOSH has arranged a CPD event for its alumni members covering ‘The implications of the health and safety sentencing guidelines for the health and safety professional’.
Guest presenters for this event are Kevin Bridges, head of health and safety at Pinsent Masons, and Ben Compton QC, Outer Temple Chambers.
Both are leading practitioners who specialise in health and safety law.
They will draw upon their first-hand experience of key cases to highlight how sentencing guidelines are being applied and what this means for practitioners.
Alumni website
Existing alumni members can book their place on the event, which will take place in London on 1 November 2017 on the NEBOSH alumni website.
NEBOSH Diploma holders who have not yet joined can secure a place at the event, but must first become an alumni member, which is free of charge.
Speaking of the benefits of membership, John Rothery, group head of health, safety, environment and quality assurance at Whittan Storage, said: “It is great to feel part of a network and to give back to a charity who gives so much to the profession”
