Airborne hazardous substances – Casella CEL air sampling systems

In a move designed to offer its customers the convenience of a true one-stop-shop experience, Casella CEL has launched a range of cost-effective consumable products to complement its personal air sampling systems for measuring employees’ exposure to dusts, fumes, gases, or vapours.

The firm is now holding large quantities of: colour-detection tubes; GFA, MCE, PTFE and PVC filters; sorbent-sampling tubes; and air-sampling heads and accessories at its production facility in Bedfordshire.

Casella CEL says it now offers a complete suite of sampling media for particulates, dusts and fumes. The range includes a wide selection of filters, which are used in conjunction with sampling heads, or as integral sampling cassettes.

A range of sampling heads and cassettes is available for asbestos, total inhalable, respirable and other dust fractions. All are designed for use with a controlled rate of air provided via a personal air-sampling pump, says Casella. Solvents, gases and vapours are sampled actively, using air sampling pumps and sorbent tubes, or passively, using diffuse sampling badges.
