Training – Solar PV installers’ safety course

Training provider CSS Worksafe has created a course dedicated to solar PV installers’ safety while working at height.

Company director Ian Luke comments: “There are many safety courses in the industry but only a small selection of training centres that will actually get installers ‘up to speed’ with working at height in a realistic environment that fully demonstrates using personal fall-protection systems.”

CSS Worksafe says it has invested heavily in its Midlands-based training facilities to incorporate a real house with solar panels and scaffolding. As a result, its candidates, when approaching a new install, will know exactly how to work with a given structure, so spending money on scaffolding when it may not be necessary can be avoided.
