Movers and shakers in edge protection and safety software

The Kee Safety Group Ltd and SHE Software both recently announced acquisitions, which should see both businesses grow.

Global supplier of handrail, guardrail and roof edge-protection systems Kee Safety Group Ltd has acquired Easi-Dec Access Systems Ltd, a UK supplier of access equipment for safe working at height.

Kee says the Easi-Dec product range complements its existing portfolio and the acquisition brings into the group innovative product design and manufacturing skills. Easi-Dec products include solar-array installation systems, roofline and window-access platforms, ladder-safety equipment and industrial edge protection.

Chris Milburn, MD of Kee Safety Group, said: “The purchase of such a well established business as Easi-Dec Access Systems Ltd represents a major opportunity for us to expand our working-at-height product portfolio. We believe the Easi-Dec products have great potential both in the UK and in our international markets, and we will continue to invest in developing creative safety solutions for the global market sectors being targeted by Easi-Dec.”

Meanwhile, SHE Software has announced that it has been acquired by consultant and entrepreneur Mattew Elson through his company MPE Investments. SHE Software says the change in ownership will provide long-term stability and support for the business, maintaining its status as industry leader and building on the momentum generated over the past few years.

Matthew Elson will join the Board of SHE Software as Chairman. He has 20 years’ experience in the transport, utilities, engineering and public sectors, in a wide variety of roles.  Most recently, he was CEO of ESR Technology, an engineering safety and risk consultancy.€
