Free information- Toolbox talks resources for scaffolders
The TG20:08 Toolbox Talk presentation has been developed to ensure site operatives have been informed and trained on the fundamental differences in ‘basic’ scaffold design according to TG20:08, as opposed to, previously, BS5973. The NASC says the 20-minute PowerPoint presentation is ideal for use by site managers and staff who carry out toolbox talks. It covers the specific changes to load classes/duty, boarded lifts, façade/sway bracing, plan bracing, ties, building façades, and the responsibilities of employers and management. The presentation is free to download from www.nasc.org.ukAlso available is the Toolbox Talk pocket booklet – a handy A6 publication, which can be read in conjunction with the presentation, and should enable site operatives to understand the changes they should be implementing on a daily basis. The booklet costs £2.50 for non-members (including post and packing) and can be ordered from the NASC website, as above.
