Women in health and safety
Women in health and safety – two Christmas parties for 2018!
Whether you are London-based or can get to Birmingham, you will be catered for by the Women in Health and Safety Committee this year.
Events will be hosted in two cities next month, the first by HSE Recruitment in Birmingham on the 6 December, followed by Acre’s event in London on the December 12. Both are free to attend, and as with all our events, they’re open to all health and safety professionals – men and women alike.
We will celebrate another successful year with a wine tasting evening at specialist wine merchant and deli “Loki Wines”. You will be split into groups of 10-15 for short wine tasting sessions with an expert sommelier. Then you will hear short talks from a few health and safety leaders, as well as some of those just starting out. Plus there will be meat platters and gourmet sandwiches to tuck into.
The event will be sponsored by Croner, and here’s a bit of information about them.

London Christmas party – Acre
This year’s London Women in Health and Safety Christmas party on December 12thwill be a real celebration of all the things we have achieved this year. Supported by Acre for the 4th year running, Anna Keen, Founder of Frameworks, will return to briefly explore why celebrating success is so important to us as individuals, as women and as a profession as a whole. We will then premiere the first screening of the women in health and safety #celebratingsuccess video.
This short video will showcase women from the profession sharing both their personal and professional achievements. If you would like to get involved and appear on the video please contact Anna Keen at [email protected] ASAP as deadline for submissions is fast approaching.
As always, drinks and refreshments will be served throughout the evening.
Ahead of the event, Acre wants to know ‘what’s your proudest moment of 2018?’ Watch the video below for more details and find out how to submit your short video entry…
About Women in Health and Safety
Women in Health and Safety is a network of health and safety professionals who support gender equality and want to see women flourish in our profession. We connect in-person and online. Our get-togethers are free to attend and open to all, and we actively encourage both men and women to join us.
Women in Health and Safety was founded by SHP in 2015 and there have since been dozens of events around the UK.
The network is governed by an independent chairperson and committee which rotates each year.
