About the event

  • Ever wondered what it might be like to be investigated by the enforcing authorities?
  • Are you confident that your company’s policies and practices would stand up to scrutiny?
  • What about your ability to answer questions posed by an inspector in your personal capacity or on behalf of your company?

Come along to ‘5 minutes in the Hot Seat‘, where you can be interviewed by a mock HSE inspector in respect of a number of scenarios – and the rest of the attendees will vote on how you have done!

About Women in Health and Safety

The Women in Health and Safety network is run by an independent committee, Chaired by Dr Judith Grant, Director of Health and Wellbeing at Mace. The network hosts free-to-attend events, for all health and safety professionals, which take place throughout the year around the UK. The flagship event takes place at Safety & Health Expo in June.

Promote equality in the health and safety profession

Why are women falling behind in health and safety leadership roles? Immediately following Steph McGovern's keynote speech, Women in Health & Safety, led by Group Risk Director at ITV Ruth Denyer, explores the challenges facing women in the profession. She will discuss:

  • Collaborating with the business and supporting strategic objectives – not saying ‘no’
  • Knowing how to land a message
  • Making safety accessible using technology and the right language
  • Confidence, knowing what you want and going for it

Following the keynote, Women in Health & Safety will lead a ‘speed networking’ session. Get your free ticket to Safety & Health Expo | ExCeL London | Tuesday 18 June | 12:45 - 15:15
