Women in Health and Safety is a thriving network of people who support gender equality and want to see women flourish in the profession. It is seeking men and women to join the committee. Can you make a difference?
The Women in Health and Safety network is run by an independent committee, Chaired by Dr Judith Grant, Director of Health and Wellbeing at Mace. The network hosts free-to-attend events, for all health and safety practitioners, which take place throughout the year around the UK. All past and upcoming events are listed on the SHP Women in Health and Safety hub and advertised in the Women in Health and Safety LinkedIn group.
Women in Health and Safety has committee hubs in London and North/Midlands. As a member of the committee there are four key requirements:
- Host an event yourself each year or play a functional role within the committee (see below). An event can be a mini-meet in a pub, or a full-on networking session with guest speakers. This will always include finding a sponsor, a location and speakers.
- Attend the main Women in Health and Safety meeting of the year at Safety & Health Expo, in London, from 19-21 May 2020.
- Attend or dial in to the London meeting three times a year OR be part of the North/Midlands branch.
- Write-up your event for SHP or liaise with editorial team for a journalist to attend.
APPLICATIONS CLOSE ON FRIDAY 29 NOVEMBER.
