Safety & Health Expo 2018 opens today, and with so much happening to help you transform health & safety in your organisation, you can’t afford to miss it.

The health and safety sector is descending on London for the first of three days of Safety & Health Expo 2018. Whether attending for one day or all three, there is something to help you take your health & safety to the next level. So make sure you register for your free ticket now.

We’ve spent the last few weeks looking forward to the show, and we’ve compiled previews of fascinating talks and demonstrations covering the latest trends and hot topics of the health & safety world here.

There’s great speakers and a huge show floor filled with over 270 exhibitors showcasing the latest in health and safety solutions and services. There’s something for the whole range of health & safety needs, from construction and work sites, to offices preaching wellness, whatever your organisation, Safety & Health Expo will have something for you.

But as well as a diverse and thought-provoking seminar programme and all-encompassing exhibitor list, there’s so much more going on at Safety & Health Expo 2018.

Here’s some highlights from the 2017 event, followed by a taste of the features the show has to offer to help you excel in health & safety:

Networking Forum and Meetings Service

Throughout the three days, the Networking Forum area of the show will play host to a series of networking sessions, giving visitors a chance to meet fellow health & safety professionals, discuss common challenges and make contacts for future work. The full schedule for the Networking Forum can be found here.

Meanwhile, you can use the Meetings Service tool on our website to arrange one-to-one meetings with manufacturers and distributors from the show floor, saving the hovering around stands and giving you more time to explore the show.

Legal Clinic

Turnstone Law, in partnership with 2 Hare Court, will be hosting a Legal Clinic on all three days of the Safety & Health Expo on Stand S120. Legal experts will give seminars on topical legal health & safety issues before and after lunch on each day, either side of a daily lunchtime Q&A session where attendees can ask questions on any issue of concern and get involved in debate.

Virtual Reality

Among the many demonstrations being carried out at the show will be ground-breaking 360-degree virtual reality experiences developed as training programmes to put employees in realistic emerging health & safety situations.

Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service will be giving drivers an insight into a fatal road traffic collision and the immediate fallout, while Myriad Global Media will take users through three brand-new training scenarios in fire safety, personal protective equipment and hazard perception to show how VR can invigorate traditional health & safety training.

Awards

SHP will be announcing the winners of four annual awards recognising individuals making a big difference in the health and safety profession:

  • The Most Influential Award celebrates those who have been inspiring, engaging and have been driving change in occupational health and safety in the UK over the last 12 months
  • The Rising Star and International Rising Star awards highlight the next generation of health & safety professionals, in the UK and around the world.
  • The Biggest Impact Award celebrates those who have recently joined the health & safety profession but are already making a huge difference to their organisations and the wider industry.

Yoga sessions

In SHE’s new Occupational Health & Wellbeing Zone, you will find a relaxation zone and free yoga classes taking place throughout the event, demonstrating how you can free vital mid-afternoon endorphins and regain a sense of calm without leaving your desk. The zone will also house a theatre staging panels and presentations emphasising the health in health & safety.

Exhibitor discounts

Many of the 270+ exhibitors showing off their wares and services will be offering special, SHE-only discounts, so don’t miss out on the chance to grab a bargain.
