Webinar: October legislation and guidance update

Every April and October, new amendments and changes to legislation and guidance come into force.

The live webinar has now passed, as well as issuing you a document to inform you of the October changes, we also asked two leading health and safety lawyers to update the health and safety community on what the changes are, what they mean in practical terms and how the last set of legislation changes are affecting organisations.

Having previously qualified as a doctor, he is uniquely placed to deal with technical, safety and health related legal issues. As well as defending H&S enforcement, he focuses on training senior management and advising organisations on legal preventive measures to reduce the likelihood of prosecution in the event an incident occurs.

Anne Davies, Partner, Gunnercooke LLP

PresenterAnne Davies is a Business crime specialist. She has handled a broad range of regulatory investigations over the last 20 years, assisting both companies and individuals to minimise the risk facing them through criminal and civil liabilities arising from internal or external investigations. She has the knowledge and resources to work on domestic and international business crime litigation matters including bribery and corruption, environmental crimes; health and Safety; product safety; white collar crime.

Ian Cooke, Health, Safety and Sustainability Area Lead, EEF

PresenterIan Cooke has a background in business management, health and safety and education. Ian started out as a project manager and business lecturer before joining NEBOSH as their UK business development executive. Ian went on to become an auditor, examiner and consultant in his own right working in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing and construction. Ian is a qualified trainer, lead auditor and safety practitioner and has experience of delivering a range of occupational health and safety programmes for a number of UK and global manufacturers.
