Webinar: Women in safety, fire and security

Available on-demand below!

This webinar was part of the Webinar Wednesdays 2022 series, select one or multiple webinars from the series to watch them on-demand.

Hear from representatives of women’s networks in the health & safety, fire safety and security professions. In a group discussion they will be asked:

  • Does gender bias and discrimination exist in our professions?
  • What is the goal of the women’s networks?
  • Doesn’t having a group that focuses on women in a sector exacerbate the issue?
  • Why do we need to have conversations specifically about women? If we’re talking about diversity & inclusivity, shouldn’t we be talking about men as well?
  • Do women face different challenges to men in safety, fire and security? And do they have different advantages?
  • What can 1) organisations 2) managers 3) individuals do to support gender equality in our professions?

The session was recorded on 19 October 2022. It was an interactive discussion, with live polling and audience questions throughout. Please be aware that the on-demand video does not include the live polls.
