Zoe has worked as a risk assessment specialist in the science division of HSE for 12 years. Whilst her primary focus has been on the development of HSE's major accident hazard pipeline risk assessment models, she has been actively involved in a number of other topic areas, both for industry and HSE. These include risk assessment methodologies for space flight in the UK, electric vehicle charging, repurposing the natural gas network for hydrogen, off-shore wind farms, risks from high rise buildings, and train-surfing. She also assesses safety reports for major accident hazard chemical sites.

Eloise joined Legal & General Capital as Head of Operational Risk in 2019. She has 2nd line oversight across all of Legal & General Capital’s operations, including those of its businesses (CALA Homes, L&G Modular Homes, L&G Affordable Home, Inspired Villages Group and Guild Living). Eloise joined Legal & General from Royal Mail where she was Director of Risk and Compliance for their property business which provided insourced property and facilities management services across the Royal Mail estate. As a trained civil engineer and chartered health and safety professional, Eloise has worked across the property, construction and infrastructure sector for over 20 years and has supported Clients and businesses in their approach to risk management, governance and compliance.

David is a partner in Addleshaw Goddard's litigation practice sitting in the Global Investigations team. He has over 30 years' experience of regulatory investigations and enforcement, particularly in the fields of crisis management, work-related death, food safety, general health and safety and environmental incidents.

He led the team advising the terminal operator following the Buncefield explosions and fire in December 2005; he was part of the team responding to the Morecambe Bay helicopter crash at Christmas2006 and more recently the Grenfell Tower fire in 2017. He was involved in advising a key player in the Potters Bar rail crash in 2002 and coronial work is very familiar territory; indeed he is sought after to prepare clients for inquests and to manage interested person issues and media interest in inquests, often at the most sensitive levels.

He has worked on numerous workplace fatality investigations. In the retail and consumer sector he has specialised in food safety and hygiene work as well as consumer protection and product safety. He successfully defended the first prosecution alleging that a norovirus outbreak was a breach of an employer's duty under health and safety legislation.

David was responsible for developing a 24/7 "Code Red" crisis management callout service to support clients involved in major and unfolding incidents.

He is experienced in PR and communications issues and often works alongside clients' communications teams and external PR advisers.

A regular presenter and commentator, David also provides legal compliance and risk management advice to clients regarding workplace and process safety across all sectors.

Chris has worked in the health, safety and compliance arena for over a decade, most recently as Director for Health and Safety at Safety Media before its acquisition by The Access Group.

Sitting on the Health and Safety Committee for The Access Group, Chris frequently offers technical and procedural advice to the committee and the board around the management of health, safety, wellbeing and risk of Access’s own employees.

He is a firm advocate for simplicity in the execution and reporting of all things health and safety and believes that the single most important thing in his line of work is to protect people from harm; with health and safety being made a core business priority.

Chris engages with health and safety practitioners in a wide variety of industries; understanding their challenges and then working to create and deliver software solutions to support and improve the management of risk and compliance in the workplace.

Prior to Safety Media, Chris worked in retail management where he oversaw operational health, safety and risk management, travelling around the world and developing a keen interest in the effect that a strong health and safety culture can exhibit within an organisation, especially when driven from the top.

Chris is passionate about providing solutions to the challenges faced by health and safety professionals today, which enable them to focus on their strategic goals to improve overall wellbeing within their organisation.
