Alastair was appointed Global Health and Safety Director of Sodexo in 2010, and subsequently Global Vice President HSE in 2015. Sodexo is a worldwide leader in facility management services and employs over 400,000 people in 80 countries.

Malcolm Staves is a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers and graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He also has an MSc in Integrated Environmental Management from Bath University.

Previously a site engineering technologist and a plant manager he has worked in Corporate Environment, Health & Safety for several companies prior to joining L’Oréal in 2008 as Corporate Health & Safety Director.

Since his arrival in L’Oréal Malcolm has developed strategies for the globalization of health & safety with a focus on risk management, visible leadership and safety culture. The next challenges are related to driving the wellbeing strategy for the group as well spreading and sharing our safety culture beyond the gates of L’Oréal.

Malcolm is considered a futuristic thought leader in Occupational Health & Safety and is the Occupational Health & Safety expert partner to the Capitals Coalition where he is supporting and driving the Human Capital agenda and the development of a people centric approach to sustainability.

Prior to joining SoloProtect, Stephen held senior positions in two major blue-chip UK companies, RAC (Royal Automobile Club of Great Britain) and Volkswagen Group and has over 20 years’ experience delivering high quality, efficient operations with exemplary levels of customer satisfaction.

Stephen’s successful track record comes from delivering transformation change across multiple disciplines including asset deployment, customer satisfaction improvement programmes, customer service operations, sales & service contact centers & mission critical operations. A common theme in his working experience has been supporting customers in distress situations such as his many years in roadside rescue & most recently, lone worker safety. Stephen has also successfully led a number of prestige motor manufacturer customer service operations and therefore truly understands the high expectations of customers and how to deliver them.

Passionate about customer service and customer experience improvement, Stephen has led contact centers & operations of varying sizes that include service, sales, asset deployment, customer onboarding & technical support services in out-sourced, in-house & regulated environments.
